Snow Day

It's not often you get snow in the south, but we love it when we do!! Since we've been in Tupelo it has snowed all three years!! Last year we got Tanner out in it, but he had no clue what was going on!! This year he was old enough to enjoy it - even if he didn't fully understand!!

Trying to catch a snowflake!!
Yeh, it's pretty, but it's kinda sad that we get excited about this!! It barely got on the roof!!

We may have only gotten a little dusting.....

But out neighborhood lake froze over!! That was so neat to see!!

Tanner had fun eating up all the snow!!

He had to rock by the fire for a little while to get warm after being out in the cold!!

Eating Utensils

At Tanner's 15 month check up our pediatrician was examing him and going over what to do, what not to do, what I could expect next etc. Then he started in with a whole gammot of questions and finally asked if Tanner was feeding himself with a fork. I said no. And the doctor asked, "Has he been given the chance?" Well of course not!! That would mean he was growing up!! That would mean independence!! That would mean MESS!! Just in case you didn't know....my husband's name is Neat Freak - they call him Scotty for short!! Mess is a 4 letter word at our house!! But then I thought why stand in the way of success if this is what he was born to do!!! So here it is folks!! Tanner used a fork!! (And I'm ok with it!!)

Happy New Year

Once the holidays were over we couldn't wait to ring in the new year!! We had a great weekend and celebrated with our friends, Aaron & Jennifer and their 2 boys, Ryan & Brayden. We watched movies, played games, shopped til we dropped and even made a special trip to Chuck E. Cheese!! What a way to bring in 2010!! Happy New Year everybody!!
