This & That

So, if you know me at all you know that I'm pretty much obsessed with taking pictures. Hence all the apologies at the beginnings of many blogs for the overload of pics!! I just can't help it. I would really love to get into photography on the side...it's just so me!! Well I've been begging for a new camera for pretty much FOREVER and when BFF Amy let me borrow her awesome and amazing camera a while back I was in Heaven!!!!! She wanted me to take some pictures of her and her family so I borrowed her camera so I could learn it well before the shoot. So what did I do? Like 1000 "photo shoots" with Tanner!!! One of my favorites was him in his Daddy's boots!!

Then we did some action shots while he jumped in his trampoline!!

This is one of my favorites!!

March 30th was Doctor's Day and to be honest, I totally forgot about it and tried to make up for it with a Dairy Queen icecream cake. Note to self: Don't forget next year!!!

Tanner's Mimi works in the library at Hillcrest and she invited us to the Book Fair at her school. Tanner loves to read so he got a double treat - Mimi AND books!!!

He got to rock "Cwifford the Red Big Dog" (Clifford the Big Red Dog) in Mimi's rocking chair that was given to her by her students.

We almost didn't get him out of the reading tent. He was so funny in there. He would pretend to go to sleep and snore!!! He had an audience and wasn't afraid to work the crowd!!

We started some yard work in February and OMG we should've done SOOOOOO much more before it got hot!! But he loves to help and was such a big boy with his own rake!!

We also planted a green house (our first attempt....in case you're wondering, it didn't turn out so well!!) and then we potted some tulips for Scotty's Granny's birthday!!

More to come....

Happy Mother's Day

Tanner,
I can't tell you how many times I've prayed and thanked the Lord that He put you in my life. Before you were born no one could prepare me for the way I would instantaneously love you and how deep that love would be. In that one moment my life changed forever and I've never felt so blessed. I'm so thankful for the closeness of our relationship. I love when you give me chubby kisses. I love having our picnics. I love how you snuggle up in the mornings. I love your OCD. I love the way, even at 2, you've always got an encouraging word. I love how you dance. I love when you talk smack to your food. I love to touch bellies. I love to hold your toes. I love when you help me cook. I love when you help me at the grocery store. I love when you talk about Jesus. I love reading the Three Little Pigs. I love to fix you wolf eggs and beef. I love when you hide and say Happy Day!! I love to hold you when you sleep. I love your laugh and the way you giggle. I love when you want to rewind the Tivo. These things only scratch the surface of what I love about you. You're such a blessing to our family and you bring so much joy to me. I consider it such a privilege that God chose me to be your mom. There's nothing I wouldn't do for you and I just want you to know that my favorite part of every day is being your Mom!! I love you 2 more!!!
Love,
Mommy
