Tanner's always loved Edie, but I'm sad to say the feeling hasn't been mutual!! She's never been ugly to him, but just not a huge fan of him. Thankfully, she's finally coming around!! I'm not sure if it's because Tanner shares his "fruit foops" (fruit loops) with her or if she's just handling a rowdy one year old better!! Either way, it's a win win situation!!

Fun In the Sun...Finally
Well, folks, there's really no commentary needed on this one!! He's all boy and LOVES to go "Ow-sigh" (outside) all the time!! And after being couped up in the house all winter I'm glad to get some rays too!! So without further ado:

Flag Football
When the weather starts getting prettier, it's not uncommon for some of the guys to get up a game of flag football. They play on the soccer fields at Ballard Park and it's a good chance for the wives to let the kids and/or dogs run like wild Indians and have a chat while the children (husbands included!!) run off their energy!!
Tanner running with the "foot-fall" (football)!!
They've got pretty good form, huh?!?!
So Tanner thinks he's "one of the guys" and kept running out on the field. Each time, I was quick enough to grab him and bring him back to the sideline. Well, one time he darted out towards the players and just enough distance got between us that I couldn't get to him in time. He was headed for the players and they were headed for him!! In all of about 15 seconds, I started to jerk Tanner by his sweatshirt, my hand slips off, he falls on his back - feet straight in the air, and the players were in arm's length of us!!!! All I could do was scream, "Please Don't Hurt My BABY!!!" And just as I finished screaming, 3 guys lunged over Tanner. I quickly grabbed him up and checked him out!! I was ready to cry and he was ready for more!!! No fear!!

I finally distracted him with other things and he started stacking!!

Valentine's Day
We were headed back to Tupelo on Valentine's Day but as soon as we got home that night we gave Tanner his "happy" which was a set of golf clubs!!
Daddy's been working with him on how to use them, but for now they're mostly used as swords...
Snow in Jackson
When we went home in February we drove into a Winter Wonderland!! We had so much fun playing in the snow with our families and got some really good pictures!!
My Parent's House
We were impressed at how well Tanner did walking in the snow!!
Our Fam!!
My parents live on a huge hill so it's perfect for sledding. The problem is...we live in MS so we didn't have a sled!! No worries!! We improvised!! We got a cake pan (thanks for the idea, Kel) for Tanner and lids from plastic bins for us!! My sister helped Tanner while Scotty filmed and I snapped pictures so with a high five and a "Let's Do This!!" he was ready to go!!
Wheeeeee!!!
If you could only see the video!! That's all I'm sayin!!!!
My sister in action!!
Here's me gettin' ready!! I made Amanda promise to catch me at the bottom!!
