So here's how we spent our Easter!! It was jam-packed full of fun, family, and eggs!! Here we go...We'll start with the decorations!!
This was our outside....I was pretty pleased with how it all turned out!!
My father-in-law cut the branches of his crape myrtles and had tons that he was getting rid of so I asked if I could snag a few. Took em' home, Scotty cut them down to the size I needed and after a coat of white spray paint, they were ready to make their debut on my front porch!!
Please don't ask me why, but this little guy decided he'd camp out for several days (almost a whole week!!!) and every time I'd hafta go out or come in, I was terrified he was gonna jump on me!! But Tanner loved him!!
Woulda looked better if a certain sweet man in my house, who shall remain nameless, had gotten my mirror hung on this wall!! Love ya!!
The Thursday before Easter Tanner had his Easter party at school and that's all he talked about!! So, of course, that Wednesday night before he was too excited to go to bed!!
The Saturday before Easter was so packed with stuff to do I'm not really sure how we ended up fitting it all in!! We started off the morning by going to our church's Easter Egg Hunt at Davis Rd. Park. Tanner loved the duck game!!
Then we headed to Aunt Patsy's house for another Easter Egg Hunt. She has one every year, but this year her daughter, Lisa, was pregnant so we threw her a surprise shower from all the family!! Here's Lisa walking into the shower, shocked as could be!!
There's always tons of games going on over there. Brandon was so sweet to help Tanner play volleyball with the big kids!!
Tanner loves skipping rocks across the water. Although, it's really more like chunking them in there!!
After lunch at Aunt Patsy's it was time to head out to MawMaw's in Bentonia!! I'm really not much of a country girl, but we Love going to her house!! It's always so much fun!! Here's Peyton & Keely fishing.
I think it's so sweet when a Daddy will bend down to their child's level and Scotty does this all the time!! They've got so many great memories together!!
Todd & his girlfriend, Lauren. This was her first experience at MawMaw's house so she had to be initiated!! We've all had a ride on the airplane at some point!! You hafta do it to be in the family!!
We blind-folded her. Todd & Adam were the pilots and she held on to Uncle Tim. The pilots raise the plane (the board) about 6 inches in the air and then.....
Uncle Tim bends down lower and lower to make the blind-folded person think they're actually going higher and higher!!
And the person thinks they're falling from like 6 feet in the air when really it's a measly 6 inches and they usually sprawl out in such awkward positions!!! For somebody like me whose got a problem holding back laughter when somebody falls....it's one of the highlights of my life!!! Look at how hard PopPop is laughing in the back!!! Bent over and all!!! Hahahahaha!!!
MawMaw was raising some pigs and took Tanner down there to watch her feed them!! I love this picture of MawMaw.
Scotty's all about us being our own family, which is one of my favorite things!! So Easter Sunday we went to the Sunrise service. We'd never been before and it was really so much fun!! We had our lawn chairs, blanket, and Tanner's breakfast and we were set!!
When we got home from church, we discovered that the Easter bunny had come to our house while we were gone!!!
That afternoon we hid eggs with my family at my cousin Dana's house. The "elders" decided this year was the year for us young whippersnappers to take over the duty of egg hiding. We've got a little more prankster in our blood than they do!! We decided to hide an egg in my poof and it kept the little ones stumped for a while!!!! P.S. - We absolutely do NOT use Bump-it's in this family!! Our poofs are naturally teased with elbow grease!!
Scotty & Amanda having a brother/sister moment!! He was teaching her how to hold a fish without getting finned!!! As Tanner would say.... that's so Grosst!!

Number 1 - I love your outside decor!
Number 2 - Awesome family!
Number 3 - The fact that you wore gloves while holding the fish on the line made me crack up...and realize what a wimp I am. I wouldn't even touch it with gloves on!
