Here are the pictures from our Big Move!!! From 105 Champions Cove to.... well, Limbo is where we are now, I guess!! It's been a good ride, but we're ready to wrap this thing up!! Come on, June!!! This will take you from a few days before the move until we got our stuff to the storage room in Jackson!! Hope you enjoy!!
One of the last breakfasts in his high chair at "home"!!
I guess he wanted to make sure we didn't forget to pack him!!! I had set this box out to start putting things in that we didn't want to go to storage or the apartment.
Watching TV in his favorite spot!!
We had gotten our apartment a few days before we closed on the house so we could take our time moving our bare necessities over. Because we're on the 2nd floor, the only time I could unload the car was during Tanner's naptime. So this is him sleeping in our new (temporary) crib!!
The packers got there on a Thursday morning around 8am and were done boxing the entire house by 6pm!!! Amazing...I know!!!
The next morning the movers brought the big truck and loaded everything up!!! They got there at 8am and were finished by lunch!! Can you believe that!! This is definitely the way to move!! I didn't lift a finger!!! Then we went to closing at 1!!!
Hiding in the kitchen boxes before the movers cleared it out!!
We used to wait at this window and watch for Daddy to come home from work, but now there's just a big ole moving truck!!!
The guys were so great moving around Tanner!! They went above and beyond to accomodate him!! Once the furniture was moved out he had to sit on this ladder to watch TV!!!
Then he would move on to something else!! Like the cooler!!
After closing we got some food, then Scotty went back to work, me and Tanner went home to unpack some more, then when Scotty got off we went back to the house to clean up for the new owners. It was so sad being in "our home" that was so empty. I was really emotional about it. It always rains on our specials days and this occasion was no different. Afterwards, we saw a rainbow and we knew it was God reminding us that (not only would he not flood the earth again...I know...Sunday School) everything was gonna be ok. We are following His will in this move and He's got a plan for our family. And that is a very peaceful feeling!!
And seeing this happy face also helped a little bit too!!!
When we were done cleaning we walked through the house and checked every room to make sure nothing was left. On our last tour, we took a walk down Memory Lane and remembered all the special moments we shared here!! Don't even ask me if I cried. Leaving Tanner's room was the hardest part. He slapped his fan pull and turned out the light one last time and said, "Bye House." It was gut wrenching!! (to me anyway!!) We drove off for the last time and got a good night's sleep before heading to Jackson the next morning!!
God really takes care of us. We had no idea we were trailing the horrible tornado that hit Yazoo City. We almost didn't stop for lunch, but decided we should try and keep Tanner on as much of a schedule as possible. If we had decided not to, we would've been right in the middle of the tornado. We're so thankful that God was watching out for our family and keeping us safe. This is what we drove up on:
We got there right after the driver had gotten out of the truck and said the tornado picked the truck up twice and hurled them through the air!!!! Scary!!!

Tanner is looking so big! I almost cried when you were telling about leaving Tanner's old room. I know you'll love being close to family in Jackson though. Best of luck to you all! K
Looks like y'all are going to have lots of great family time back in Jackson! Glad the move went so well!
Glad all is well in the Davis household! I LOVE the pic of Tanner in his high chair!! Too cute!!
