Just before this past Mother's day, we found out that we were expecting Baby #2. We were so excited and couldn't wait to find out what it was. We were so ready to quit calling it "It"!! On Wednesday, August 24th, we went to our Dr. appointment and found out what our bundle was and had to keep the secret until Friday, August 26th!! We had our families come to our house for the Big Reveal!! This is something we did with Tanner and have decided to do it with each child we have. We cook dinner, our families dress in either pink or blue depending on what their guess is, then we spill the beans!!
Scotty's mom made this same cake for Tanner's Big Reveal so we asked her to do it again for this baby. I caught Tanner sneaking a little bite....just to make sure it tasted good!!
Everybody was so anxious and we just socialized, ate, and kinda drug it out...just because we could!!

We decided to let Tanner be the one to break the news to everybody!! We had not told him before the party just in case he was interrogated by our families!! But we also wanted him to be the first to know. Tanner had said from the beginning that if it was a little brother he wanted to name him Charlie Brown and if it was a little sister he wanted to name her Lucy!! (He's a huge Peanuts fan!!) But he has always really wanted it to be a little sister!!! When we were at the doctor's office we knew he would be so happy!! So here we are right before we took him into the bedroom to tell him the good news!!
He was elated and ran out to the crowd and screamed to the top of his lungs that he was getting a Baby SISTER!!!!!! Then the rest of the family screamed with excitement!!

Family of 4 here we come!!! Tanner will be the BEST big brother in the entire world!!!! That sweet baby is one lucky little girl!!
