Annie Kate's Family Shower

I'm really NOT loving all the new changes on Blogger, but oh well, not much I can do about it!!  It's making my pictures do crazy things and centering them wrong and now I've got all this space at the top and can't figure out how to fix it!!! Ugh!!! Enough of that -- let me get on with this post!!  On October 29th I had my very first shower for Annie Kate given by my Mom and sister at Parkway Baptist Church.  It was so fun to hang out with all our family and everybody was so sweet to give us so much stuff for this little girl.

My Dad made these centerpieces!!
My sister had this great idea for everybody at the shower to write Annie Kate a note and keep it in this box for her until she's older!! I've been good and not peeked, but I can't wait to see what they say!!

My cousin, Judy, is really into making cakes and she's really good at it too.  My sister asked her if she would make the cake for my shower and she agreed.  She used these sweet baby shoes and headband as the topper!! Soooo sweet!!

Me & Jutz!!!

Fat girl's gotta eat!!!
Here's my mom explaining that the silverware used to serve were actually the baby spoon and fork me and my sister used!!
Yeh, I ate one of each piece!! Not gonna lie!!

Tanner was snoozin' away in the stroller!! He fell asleep on the way to the shower and you never wake a sleeping baby  toddler!!

He just HAD to wear his Mickey Mouse watch that Aunt Z got him from Disney World!!

He was a bit confused when he woke up!!

Starting to open all the goodies....

And I got some really good help!!

Here's Tanner writing his note to Annie Kate to put in the box!! Makes me smile that he loved her even then!!

What a nut!!

Daddy came at the end to help us load everything up and take it home.

Thanks for such an awesome shower fam!!!

Charlie Brown at Bass Pro

On October 28th we took Tanner to Bass Pro Shop to have his picture made with Charlie Brown. He's a huge Peanuts fan and loves a trip to his favorite store!!  We also had to shoot the guns!!

Farm Animal Week

The week of October 28th was Farm Animal Week at Hillcrest.  The kids learned all about Old McDonald's animals and then got to dress up as they're favorite one that Friday.  I learned 2 very important life lessons during this week: #1- Never buy a costume that says the size is 2T - 4T.....chances are, it's gonna fit the 2 year old!! Life lesson #2 - Don't wait til the morning of to let your child try on the costume!!! Sweet little Tanner's costume pant legs came up to about mid calf :(  But on a positive note, he did let me paint his nose!!! #overcomingOCD
