All In a Day's Work

Let's just say that when Scotty came home from work the other day he had plenty to keep him busy!! I was cooking and cleaning in the kitchen and I look up and what do I see? Scotty's got all the pieces for the baby crib laid out in the living room floor!! He started putting it together, and I must say he did a pretty good job!! He's so handy!! He finally finished his project and I was very proud of him!!

He deserves a pat on the back!!

Edie tried out the matress to make sure it was comfy enough for her little brother!!

Newlywed Celebration

Our friends Marc and Summer recently got married in Jamaica. We went to their wedding reception at the Parker House when they got back and had so much fun! We were so happy when they got engaged and absolutely couldn't wait for them to tie the knot!! Scotty and Marc have been best friends since forever and I don't know if two people could be more alike!! Marc asked Scotty to be his best man at the wedding in Jamaica. We were so excited and then decided against the international trip since I'm pregnant. Bummer!! I feel aweful that we weren't there to share in their big day and that I took away Scotty's chance to be a best man!! But I guess the most important thing is that Marc and Summer know we love and support them and are so excited they've joined the ball and chain club!!

Getting Ready for Baby

Today me and Scotty went to Babies R Us to register for the baby shower my sister is throwing us. We were there forever and by the time we left, we were overwhelmed and needed a break. There's so much we don't know about, I don't know how we're gonna learn everything before Tanner gets here. I guess we'll learn as we go!! We did have fun though and here's one picture I got while we were there!!

Shopping stresses Scotty out so he needed to kick his feet up for a while!

Krissy Chaps Saves the Day

My brother-in-law has been dating my friend Kristen for a while now (they met at our wedding and its about time they had their own!! Hint! Hint, Adam!!) Anyway, she's a cosmotolegist and works at a salon in Clinton. The girl in Tupelo that usually cuts Scotty's hair is so hard to make an appointment with because Scotty's schedule is so hectic. He was really needing a haircut so Kristen came to the rescue and was able to fit him in her schedule! Thanks Krissy, you did a great job!!

Peyton's Kindertot's Program

Our nephew Peyton had his Kindertot's Program today and we were so excited to be in town for his performance!! He was the star of the show and Tanner is gonna learn so much from his big boy cousin!! Here's a few pics from Peyton's big day!!

What an action shot! He definitely could be the next NBA star!

Peyton was so proud of his trophy he got!

Peyton loves his Uncle Scotty and Edie!! They were both very proud of their Pey-Pey!!

Congrats Grad

We would like to say Congratulations to Amanda for graduating high school today!! She looked so pretty and we're so proud of her!! She's planning to go to Hinds in the fall and I don't think she's declared her major yet, but there's plenty of time for that!! Just relax and have fun little sis!! This will be such a fun time in your life!! Love you!!

I'm so proud of my little sister!! Isn't she so cute in that cap and gown?

Scotty loves his "little sister"!! On the way to graduation me and Scotty figured out that we started dating when Amanda was in the 9th grade!! Now she's all grown up!!

Happy Mothers Day

This year was my first Mother's Day!! Eventhough I'm not officially a mom yet, Scotty still made the day really special!! We ate lunch at McAllister's which I LOVE!! I could eat there every day and never get tired of it and don't even get me started on the sweet tea!! It's was a really big deal because Scotty doesn't like deli's all that much, but he let me choose since it was my special day!! It was soooo good!!

The table was my Mother's Day gift and he also got me a card and wrote a note from Tanner on the inside!!

Never Again

Me and Scotty are pretty much the traditional family. He goes to work, does all our money stuff and pays the bills. He's the provider. I stay at home and keep it clean and organized, cook, and spend a lot of time getting ready for Tanner. I'm the homemaker. There's not really a lot that I ask Scotty to do around the house since he works so hard all the time. However, there are a few things I just cannot do. Examples: I cannot take out the trash, deal with bugs/wildlife, or anything else that falls under the "Gross" category. Our trash runs once a week - on Thursdays so we usually try to set out the trash on Wednesday nights. (We = him in this particular instance!) I decided I was going to help Scotty out with his gross chore and take the trash out for him. Just trying to be a good wife and to ease some of his load when he got home. I gather up the bags, lug them outside and set them on the ground. Then, I walked over to the can to lift the lid and that's when I saw my life flash before my eyes. This huge green, gross, yuck frog was in my way!!! Needless to say the trash was left in the side yard and Scotty had to deal with it when he got home. That was my first and last attempt to take out the trash and it was traumatic!! Never Again!!

Another First

Scotty has ATLS (Advanced Trauma and Life Support) trainging all weekend so I've been at home all day by myself, but today was another first!! I actually saw my stomach move today when Tanner kicked!! Scotty called on his lunch break so I was able to tell him the good news and he was sooooo excited!!
