Allison + Andy = The Mosley's

One of my very best friends from college, Allison, married her beau of 7 years (yes, SEVEN!!) - Andy, on June 5th. It was a long time coming and she made such a beautiful bride. She's one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet and I'm so glad I was able to share in her big day.
Me and Lil Allie met at Mississippi College (also where she met Andy) and went through the Interior Design program together. I'm not sure either one of us thought we'd ever make it out alive, but after many delirious nights working on projects in the design lab, several 48 hour stints with no sleep, lots of Little Ceasar's, and recharging on red bull and coffee we finally made it to graduation. She moved back to Pensacola, but we stayed close in spite of the distance.
Scotty had to work and wasn't able to go to the wedding with me so I went through Jackson to pick up my Mom so she could help me with Tanner. Lots of fun and lots of laughs!!

Heading out of Jackson on the way to Allison's Wedding Weekend!!

Allison had a charm cake and read each of us a Bible verse that went with the charm we pulled.

It was really hot so Tanner cooled off by playing in the ice bucket!!
Andy's always smiling!!

We stayed an extra night so we wouldn't hafta make the long drive at night on unfamiliar roads. We grabbed a bite of Mexican and headed back to the hotel for a good night's sleep.
The next day we traveled and got back to hang out around the house with my family.
My sister put a mud mask on my cousin, Judy, me and herself. It smelled like clay, but our faces were silky smooth afterwards.

While we were getting beautified, Tanner & Pa ate a bowl of popcorn!!

The next morning before heading out my mom made Tanner monogrammed pancakes!!

A Day in Columbus

After an entire weekend of being on call, Scotty was supposed to drive an hour to Columbus, for his dermatology rotation, and an hour back. On no sleep!!! I just couldn't let him do that and worry if he would fall asleep at the wheel so me and Tanner drove him there. My mom and Granny met us there and we spent the day shopping, eating and chatting!!! We ate lunch at McAlister's and as soon as we were finishing up Scotty called to say he was leaving for his lunch break. We met him at McDonald's and let Tanner play while Scotty ate. Then we went to the mall for a little shopping. Tanner ended up falling asleep in his stroller so we got some yummy cookies to pass the time until Scotty called to say he was finished!!

At the mall.

Scotty met us there when he got done for the day!!

He took Tanner to ride the mall cars and planes!! Tanner loved it!!

You Don't See This Everyday

Back in May, on the way to playgroup, Tanner and I got behind this storm chaser - The Dominator!!! This isn't a sight you see everyday, but I thought it was neat!! Then it occured to me....should I be going the same direction as this guy? I eventually had to turn and he kept going straight, there wasn't a cloud in the sky, and no sirens!! It ended up being a beautiful day!!

Mother's Day

We got back from Gatlinburg the day before Mother's Day so we kept things kinda low key around here!! But Scotty couldn't let my day slip by without breakfast at Cracker Barrel!! Isn't he great? Then after that we went to Wal-mart to get a vacuum cleaner for our apartment. Him and Tanner also gave me a sweet, sweet card and a happy. For dinner we ate at McAlister's which is another one of my favorite spots!! 2 in 1 day!! Doesn't get much better than that!!
I've been blessed with the greatest family in the world and nothing makes me happier than being Tanner's mom. He's so sweet and very affectionate. I live for hugs and kisses from him and each day I feel like we grow closer and closer. We spend every day together and I'm having the best time of my life!! Being a parent is such a fun job when you've got a son as great as Tanner. And having a supportive husband who wants me to be able to stay at home helps too!!
I could never put into words how much I love Tanner so I won't even try, but I'm so thankful that God gave him to me and Scotty. He has changed our world and the joy he brings to our lives is immeasurable. We prayed for Tanner even before he was born, but had no idea the blessing he would turn out to be. Psalm 127 says that children are a reward from the Lord. I'm not sure what we did to deserve such an awesome gift, but we're so glad God gave!!

Oops!!

I forgot to include this picture in our Gatlinburg post!! I just thought it was too cute to leave out!! We turned our heads for 2 seconds and somebody had some fun in the bathroom!! Just goes to show you can never slack on parental supervision, but sometimes it's funny when you do!!
