The Graduation Party

After the graduation ceremony and cake and icecream at the apartment it was time to get ready for the Graduation Party at Mount Vernon Plantation!!! We loaded up my sister and parent's cars with stuff to take back to Jackson and then put Tanner down for a nap. My family headed back to Jackson and Scotty's parents stayed the night to keep Tanner for us and help get us out of the apartment the next morning. We were very excited about seeing everybody, but in the back of our heads we were sad because, besides loading our own cars and heading to Jackson, the party was the last "to do" on our list. It seemed so weird driving there and knowing it would be the last FMRC function for us.
Everything was beautiful!!

Ken is so silly!!

Me & Emily enjoyed being inside with the air conditioning!!!

The Intern Initiation

And the seasoned 3rd years showing them how it's done!!!
Somehow Dr. Hill always ends up on the dance floor!!

I heart Dr. Hughes!!

Sweet Heather!! Just love her!!

There's never a dull moment with these two!!

Me, Madilyn, Angie & Heather

I just hafta take a moment to give a shout out to the Spouse Alliance. This was such a special group of girls and I was so lucky to be a part of this organization with them. It's so important to have a support group that knows exactly what residency entails - the good, the bad & the ugly!! We became like a little family and it was so hard leaving such great friends.
(p.s.- I borrowed this picture from my friend, Heather's, facebook page!!)

But all good things must come to an end and as we said goodbye it was very emotional for us. To be honest, on the way back to our apartment I think we both had such a lost feeling. That's the best way I can describe it. We knew we were supposed to move back to Jackson, but we were so sad about leaving our "home away from home". Tupelo will always have such a special place in our hearts and we feel so thankful and blessed to have made such great memories with all our amazing friends. This time during residency is something we'll never forget.
And though we were feeling a little sappy, we were in good enough spirits to finish the night off with a late night snack at Waffle House!! Seeing as how this was one of the few times we had a babysitter, we decided to take full advantage of our date night!!
